#EdTech Thought

  • Have a Great School Year
    • I just want to take this time to wish you nothing but success this school year. There will be challenges along the way but just as you’ve done previously you will meet those challenges head-on and you will come out successful on the other side.
    • Don’t sweat the small stuff. You are an effective educator – don’t forget that!
    • Don’t be afraid of observation time or standardized assessments. Invite you’re administrator in outside of observation time and teach your content always supporting your students to try their best.
    • As you go on the journey from day 1 to day 180 remember that is a marathon and you need to pace yourself. Don’t sprint out of the gate here in September, you want to be standing in June right?
    • Enjoy every moment with your students, but enjoy time with family and friends that much more.
    • To borrow from the book of the great Angela Watson and her podcast Truth for Teachers, it’s not going to be easy, it’s going to be worth it.
